Magnus Wåge arranged a workshop at the Bergen school of architecture for students from the school and architecture students from Hong Kong.
Mestres Wåge was invited to hold a lecture at the Oslo association of architects (OAF) in Norway March 16, 2017. The lecture “Polyhedral & Circumstantial” consisted of several recent and on-going projects like the new art museum in Kristiansand, Norway, and how methods are implemented in the different projects.
Maria held a lecture at UPC arranged by GUBIMCAT March 3rd where she spoke about BIM deliverances in Norway.

The office was invited to hold a lecture October 19th at Archtober’s “Archtober goes Nordic” held at the Van Alen institute in New York where they presented the Flying Carpet, their winner proposal for a plaza in Oslo designed together with MX_SI architectural studio.

The winning solution is a simple, shapely and architecturally good project that also finds excellent solutions to logistical challenges related to the connection between pedestrians and public transport. The jury finds Flying Carpet to be very innovative with its solutions when it comes to architectural and landscape architectural instruments regarding green mobility.
Our proposal in the open international competition for new Vikingskipsmuseet in Bygdøy has been purchased. The competition had 111 entries. The Project is a colaboration with MX_SI Architectural studio and Other Structures
Furuset competition is the Norwegian entry in this year's Nordic Built Challenge competition, beside five other national competition tasks which are held in parallel. The competitions have different themes and challenges, but are all directed towards environmental and climate proper construction and urban development. Trygve Lies Plass is also a model project within FutureBuilt program.
The Flying Carpet design by Mestres Wage Arquitectes and MX-SI Architectural Studio, is one of four teams chosen to further develop their proposal in stage 2.
The building is an extension of 2.700 m2 for the Central Hospital in Førde and houses both administration and medical facilities and its planned to be finished in 18 months. Full BIM design from planning to maintenance.
The arquitect group consists of Nordplan AS, Sweco and Mestres Wage Arquitectes SLP. Other consultants are Norconsult AS and Ivest Consult AS
Our proposal in the open international competition for new city hall in Sola has been given an honourable mention. The competition had 53 entries.The Project is a colaboration with MX_SI Architectural studio.
Førde city hall has been nominated for the norwegian architecture prize "Arkitekturprisen" which is a new prize for contemporary architecture in norway where the selection is made by the Norwegian architect union (NAL) and its members.We are happy to have a project among several of the best Norwegian projects from the last three years. In a recent meeting in the local Planning and Environment Committee in Førde Kommune, the draft design proposal by Mestres Wåge Arquitectes for an apartment complex in Førde, Norway was approved for further planning, while awaiting the final approval.
We are happy to announce that Førde Rådhus is one of the selected projects in the FAD international award 2015! The FAD international price goes to projects by Spanish- based architects constructed outside Spain. Førde rådhus is presented in the last number of A10, magazine for new European architecture. The project is presented under the headline “ready” together with new buildings in europe. From The 19th to the 23rd of May we will be exhibiting at the fare trade “Construmat” in Barcelona. This years headline for the construmat is “Beyond Building Barcelona, reengineering Construmat”. We have a stand together with members of Building smart Spanish chapter, the focus of this group is Building information modeling (BIM). We participate with our long experience in implementing BIM in architectural projects. Ona Arquitectes and us are the only two architectural practices that present at the Construmat this year.
Mestres Wåge is designing the stand for Building Smart Spanish Chapter in Construmat 2015 that take place from the 19th to the 24th of May. We have opted for designing recyclable cardboard furniture. Nine different enterprises will use our design. The photo shows tests of assembly at the factory of Embamat in Terrassa.

Our proposal in the open international competition for new city hall in Sandnes has been given an honourable mention. The competition had 56 entries.
Our work has been selected to be exhibited in the exhibition "Exposición Export, Arquitectura Española en el Extranjero". The exhibition focuses on export of Spanish architecture and is organized by Fundación ICO http://www.fundacionico.es/ We will be represented with the city hall and plaza in Førde, Norway under the category "Young achievers". The exhibition will be open from 24th of February till the 17th of May 2015 in the Museo ICo in the Paseo del Prado 4, Madrid.

Førde Rådhus (town hall) is one of five nominated projects for the Norwegian lighting prize 2014.They summarize the reason for the nomination: The light design has participated in creating a house for the people of Førde municipality and has been well received. The building is a landmark building and strengthens the sense of identity in Førde. Nordplan and Mestres Wåge architects won the competition for Førde town hall because of their solutions that satisfies many meeting places, a good relationship between indoor and outdoor spaces, and an airy and recognizable architecture.
Third year students from Bergen School of Architecture spent two weeks on a studytrip to Barcelona, with us as their teachers. They were given urban tasks to solve, as well as sightseeing and cava-tasting at Mestres in Sant Sadurni d´Anoia. These pictures are from a review with the class in the office patio.
Mestres Wåge has received the class 3 certificate for planning and construction under the Norwegian law. It is the highest certificate for planning and building in Norway. The certificate qualifies Mestres Wåge Arquitectes to design all types of buildings (Discipline of Architecture) in Norway.
In May / June we have been selected to work on a volume study for the municipality of Førde. Magnus presented the work for the municipal planning board on the 26th of June. The study shows possibilities for development for the city centre of Førde, exploring limits of freedom for development as well as strategies for public urban qualities. The office revealed for the public a study for densifying Førde city centre in Norway. The work got local attention and led to an article in the local newspaper Firda.
Together with Cecilie Anderson and Cristian Stefanescu Magnus Wåge has been teaching a three week research course in the third year in the Bergen School of Architecture. The students have studied the recent urban developments in the Bergen region with focus on retail trade and shopping centers as a key factor in the development of new centralities. The final review showed a wide range of work from typological studies of shopping centers to thorough mappings of to ongoing tendencies in the development of the Bergen region.

Magnus Wåge has been appointed Diploma examiner at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design(AHO). The examinations will take place in January 2014.
November of 2013: Again in Norway, opening Førde Rådhus! The building was oficcially opened by municipal minister Jan Tore Sanner and mayor Olve Grotle. We were very happy to see the building in use- The opening was during the strongest rainfall in 108 years but the outdoor porche served as scenery for the ceremony out of the rain. Magnus gave a speach on "Place to be and place to do" on behalf of the architect team.

Maria has been appointed to be BIM (building information model) consultant for the COAC (the catalan association of architects). Her 10 years of experience in BIM- modeling, and the BIM-project Førde Rådhus makes her knowledge valuable in the promotion of, and increased implementation of BIM in spain. Førde rådhus is one of the few projects of a Barcelona office where all the consultants and architects have worked with a common BIM platform.
